Canoes & Kayaks We have three canoes and two new kayaks at The Treehouse, with more available by advance request. Canoes are available at no charge to Treehouse overnight guests. There is a $10 charge per canoe per hour (limit two persons per canoe) for our other visitors. For guided canoe trips, the charge is $20 per hour per canoe. NOTE: The Treehouse assumes no liability for the safety of canoers. Ask about the three canoe trip routing options available. Trips can range from one to four hours.

 

More adventurous types will want to consider the four hour trip to the “riffles” further upriver. There you’ll put your chairs in the creek and listen to the water running over the rocks as you enjoy a picnic that you prepared.

Pontoon Boat Our big pontoon boat can seat up to 10 people. Short trips are provided at no charge to Treehouse overnight guests. Longer trips can be arranged for an additional charge. For other Treehouse visitors, the cost is $60 per hour, with a one hour minimum. You’ll see rock fences, blue herons, kingfishers and maybe a muskrat, along with some high priced standardbred and thoroughbred horses! A recommended trip is the two hour excursion to the covered bridge at Stonerside Farm upriver. Stonerside is a beautifully manicured operation owned by Mr. Robert McNair of the Houston Texans professional football organization fame.
